During the formative years I envisioned that Geetanjali Hospital should come up as a modern health care centre to the multispeciality needs of the rural population in this hilly region of Wai, Panchgani and Mahabaleshwar. I was most concerned for the rural patients having to travel to major cities like Pune for healthcare facilities absent in Wai and was aware of the inconvenience and unaffordable high costs faced by them. My empathetic concerns for them encouraged me to enforce the best into this hospital helping it evolve into a multispeciality health care centre. It has been a continuous process of updating and building the best services at the people’s doorstep and their convenience.
